For A Thousand Beers" contains all TANKARD albums which were released by Noise.Tankard was founded in 1982 and is a German thrash metal band from Frankfurt am Main. Along with Kreator, Destruction and Sodom, they are one of the "Big Four" of German thrash metal. Stylistically at home in thrash metal, their songs are mainly about alcohol. With "Zombie Attack" they released their first album in July 1986. A year later, in October 1987, followed their second album, "Chemical Invasion" and in 1988 "The Morning After". After the first drummer, Oliver Werner, left the band and was replaced by Arnulf Tunn, the three albums were released: "The Meaning of Life", "Stone Cold Sober" and "Two-Faced". At the same time Tankard released the live album: "Fat, Ugly and Live". After that the line up of the band changed again. In May 1994 Arnulf Tunn was replaced by Olaf Zissel, who still plays the drums today. One year later another founding member, Axel Katzmann, was forced to leave the band due to arthritis in his wrist. Electropop-legendene Röyksopp slapp fredag 19. august den andre delen av deres ekspansive Profound Mysteries prosjekt, "Profound Mysteries II", via Warner Music Norway. Samtidig annonserte de at det også var en Profound Mysteries III på vei. Den slippes fredag 18. november, og er siste delen av dette prosjektetSom tidligere kommer det CD og MC, men også nå oppsummeres hele prosjektet med vinyl.Berge og Brundtland beskriver Profound Mysteries som det største så langt i Röyksopps karriere. Prosjektet innkapsler både den unike sounden de har brukt flere tiår på å finpusse, samtidig som at de utvider den. Det er et dristig steg for fremtiden, og er en hyllest til alle artistene, sjangrene og musikalske bevegelser som har inspirert dem opp gjennom årene. Det er et prosjekt de har brukt hele livet på å lage (de eldste ideene dateres tilbake til Röyksopps tidlige dager, bokstavelig talt ved hjelp av MIDI-data som først ble komponert av bandet da de var tenåringer på 90-tallet), og det er helt nytt.Profound Mysteries er preget av de rike samarbeidene de har fått med seg. Som alltid, så har Berge og Brundtland både skrevet, fremført, spilt inn og mikset mestparten av platen i Norge, selv om samarbeidene sprer seg fra alle kanter av verden. På denne platen har Röyksopp spilt inn strykere og treblås i New York, Berlin og Paris, mens gjestevokalistene både er kjente artister fra Röyksopp universet (Susanne Sundfør) samt nye tilføyelser som Astrid S, Allison Goldfrapp, Beki Mari, Karen Harding, Pixx og Jamie Irrepressible.Hvert av de ti sporene på albumet har et unikt utvidet kreativt univers, akkompagnert av en unik "artefakt" og en "visualiser" skapt av den australske samtidskunstneren Jonathan Zawada, samt en kortfilm laget i samarbeid med det skandinaviske produksjonsbyrået Bacon.Tracklist01. The concert was part of the star-studded 1990 Silver Clef Winners performance at Knebworth House, Hertfordshire, headlined by Pink Floyd. The monumentous Silver Clef Award Winners Knebworth concert saw Pink Floyd topping the all-star bill that included Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, Genesis, Phil Collins, Mark Knopfler, Robert Plant (with Jimmy Page), Cliff Richard, Eric Clapton and Tears For Fears. Around 120,000 music fans saw these giants of rock appear on the hallowed stage of Knebworth, all in aid of the Nordoff Robbins charity, profits from which went towards setting up the BRIT School. The concert was broadcast globally on MTV.David Munns, Chairman of Nordoff Robbins, remembers the event well: The Knebworth Concert was a defining moment in the music industrys commitment to Nordoff Robbins, the BRIT Trust and the concept of the BRIT School. What a fantastic day it was, culminating in this brilliant performance by Pink Floyd. The money raised allowed the BRIT School to come into being and allowed Nordoff Robbins to significantly expand its service. Knebworth will go down in history as one of those great moments and the music industry should be very proud of what it achieved. Nick Mason also reminisces about the gig: There is something special about Knebworth. We all still have fond memories of playing there in the 70s, and this show was no different. As a North London boy this was almost a home game, but with the added delight of being the re-assembly of the band after a fairly mega tour that had lasted for well over a year. It was also an opportunity to get the wonderful Candy Dulfer to play - I had been a fan of hers for quite a while, and it was just a shame we didnt have an opportunity to utilise her for more. We also had our dear friend Michael Kamen guesting. Michael had contributed so much to PF over the previous ten years, its great to have something of his playing on the recording.Pink Floyd - David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright - were joined on stage by members of their touring band including Guy Pratt, Jon Carin, Tim Renwick and Gary Wallis. Backing vocals came from Durga McBroom, Sam Brown and her mother Vicki, and (original The Great Gig In The Sky vocalist) Clare Torry. Pink Floyd also welcomed guest musicians including sax player Candy Dulfer and keyboard player and composer Michael Kamen. David Gilmour and Andy Jackson have remixed the audio from this iconic concert featuring all seven tracks performed on the day, and the album features new artwork shot by Floyd collaborator Aubrey Po Powell of Hipgnosis and designed by Peter Curzon of Storm Studios. The concert, previously unreleased until it appeared on 2019s Later Years box set, is now available as CD or double Vinyl set for the first time as a stand-alone album.Tracklist01.
